LEAP REQUIREMENT FOR NON-PUBLIC STUDENTS ENROLLING IN GRADE 5 OR 9 FOR 2009-2010
Students who are aspiring to attend a site of the Orleans Parish School Board in grades 5 and 9 during the 2009-2010 school year must test and pass the English language arts and mathematics portions of the grade 4 or 8 LEAP assessment that is applicable.

TEST & REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Test dates: Phase I - March 23, 2010 & Phase II - April 12-13.
Registration dates: Registration for the spring administration has closed.
Registration for the spring administration of LEAP spanned January 11 - February 26, 2010. Any student who is registering for one of the Orleans Parish School Board direct-run or charter schools and has not registered for the spring administration of LEAP, will be referred to the summer administration of the test, June 28-30, 2010, if availability permits.
GRADE 4 Non-Public and GRADE 4 & GRADE 8 Home Schooling Students who are registered for the test will be taking PHASE I & PHASE II of the GRADE 4 or GRADE 8 LEAP TEST at the school site where you registered.
GRADE 8 Non-Public Students who are registered for the test will receive a LIGHT YELLOW PHASE I Admission Ticket for the test that is to be administered March 23, 2010 by March 8, 2010. If you do not receive the ticket by March 8, 2010, please contact the office at the number below. On March 24, a FUSHIA PHASE II Admission TIcket will be put in the mail to those registered students for the portion of the test that is to be administered April 12-13, 2010. At the conclusion of each administration students will receive a letter from the Office of Accountability/Assessment to forward to their home-based school for the days that they were being tested with the school district.
